4 Beginners Guide to Meditation
Meditation isn't just about learning how to clear your mind or stop thinking. In contrast, meditation is an exercise in training your attention and focus on things that make you feel uncomfortable.
To be able to do meditation effectively, there are some guidelines you can do as follows:
1. Find a quiet place
Make sure you choose a place where nothing distracts you before starting your meditation practice. Activate silent mode on your phone when you start meditating and practise meditation in a different room.
2. Sit in a comfortable place
You can sit on a pillow or blanket, on the floor or a chair. Sit up straight, but do not need to be too tense because your body should still feel relaxed or relaxed.

3. Inhale slowly
Focus your attention on the way you exhale and inhale. Or you can also start by scanning the body. Focus on each part of the body, then focus on the feet and head, pausing for a moment to feel the sensations in meditation.
4. No need to care about existing distractions
If your mind wanders, never deny the distraction that comes. Instead, you have to accept the thought and let it go. Then slowly, refocus on your breath. Getting distracted while meditating is undeniable, but practising to overcome distraction is an important part of the meditation process.

Just doing meditation for 5 - 10 minutes a day is enough for beginners. Some people may be able to do the meditation for 30-45 minutes, which may be done by those with experience.
And if possible, try to meditate at the same time every day. This can build a habit of doing meditation in your daily activities. And if you can't fulfil it, there's no need to worry and be tough on yourself. Try to do it tomorrow.
